We mourn the loss of a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a founding member of this KEFI Fit family. We are shattered. Martha Giannopoulos was taken from us on Monday, November 8, 2021. She will be remembered as a firecracker with incredible energy, a contagious smile, one of a kind humour and a woman who would take the shirt off her back for you. She was generous, and kind with zero filter. No need for petty pleasantries and bullshit, she was loved for her matter-of-fact attitude and her authenticity. There was no confusion with Martha, you always knew where you stood and that’s one of the many qualities that made her special. She managed and operated her classes in the Park Extension area of Montreal with love and passion and maintained the family feel atmosphere that made her members feel at home. Park Ex was her home and she loved every part of it. She leaves behind her husband whom she adored, her 2 children who were the light of her life, her mom and brother, her family, her friends and an entire community she helped build from the ground up. Her contribution to KEFI Fit was immeasurable, from program building and choreography to money management and training. Martha was fiercely loyal and knew how to love. She will be missed beyond words and leaves a huge void that can never be filled. We will continue to celebrate her life and keep her memory and her spirit alive. We know that wherever she is … she’s dancing!
May her memory and light be eternal and may we all think of her during her favourite songs and remember her saying: “Come on ladies, shake something!”
Our fighter, our firecracker, our inspiration.
