Anyone who works non-stop can relate to that feeling of exhaustion and burnout that comes with giving your 100%, 100% of the time. That is what we did, especially during the course of the pandemic. The transfer to virtual classes, was both physically and emotionally draining and although we mastered the word “adaptable”, it came a huge cost.
During the past year, we also lost one of our own. Our founding instructor and friend, Martha who managed our Park Extension location, got her wings after her fierce battle with cancer. That was a loss of immeasurable proportions, and needless to say, it took time to wrap our heads around this reality.
We got through the year and fulfilled our commitments to our members and wrapped up our KEFI FIT classes end of May. After 3.5 month hiatus, we’re happy to be resuming our sessions mid September, for one more round!
Refreshed, rested and motivated, the beginning of a new session is always exciting for the team. Our creative juices are flowing as we put together new routines, study new playlists and find ways to engage and get our members motivated to get moving with us again.
I’d like to take a moment to thank you for the privilege of yet another session and I hope that you enjoy it as much as we are.
As for this extraordinary team, we are the envy of teams. This, I know. Very few women are able to work this closely together, for as long as we have without massive blowouts.
I’ve been around long enough to know the impact of ego and the overused, overrated term “empowerment”.
Entire businesses are built around this word, without even knowing the first thing about what it means to EMPOWER. I can honestly say, that we have it figured out and for that I’m humbled and blessed. This group of women actually care. They care about their families and friends, they care about themselves, about the members, about the vision of a world that includes fitness for everybody and they care about lifting each other up. They simply care. What you see is not “smoke and mirrors” and photo ops. This #kefifit #tribe, consists of authentic women who truly believe that there is room for everyone to shine.
What else can I possibly ask for? I struck GOLD with this group of women.
